We had a fluke January warm spell at 70 degrees in Tennessee today, so it was finally time to paint our trailer’s frame with automotive chassis rust inhibitor after weeks of waiting for a nice enough day. It looks so much better, and should never rust again! The steel trailer frame now feels like Le Creuset enameled cookware, instead of tetanus-laced sandpaper!
It’s almost a shame to cover it with a floor, since it looks so much better than before:
The next step is installing our new plywood subfloor. That’s going to be a beast of a job, and involve the help of many friends and family members. 😬
I also sanded and painted the bumper (which is an extension of the trailer frame) with rust preventative. I think it looks much better in black than it did in rusty silver!
